Fall Frame

Working my way through the use of Flickr, I've been reminding myself that it is a learning 'opportunity'!
After typing in some State Library values such as vision and valuing people many beautiful scenes and ideas unfolded before me.
I chose this photo because it has an old world feel to it, it's abundant and presents a framework for vision, growth and possibilty - and after finding a couple of other suitable photos on flickr that I couldn't blog, this one just appeared - my initial frustrations quickly diminished once I'd experienced some of the magnificent images that can be discovered on Flickr.

Some encouragement from a fellow traveller

After some procrastination, I'm back to my blog. I've been exploring and becoming more familiar with the world of blog by reading through the lessons and looking at other people's blogs - but wasn't making progress with the activities.
However, after a chat/tutorial with a colleague who has completed Learning 2.0 - and some tips about organising and simplifying my approach, I feel more confident about working my way through it.
I've had my first adventure into the world of flickr - it was great to see the State Library in many glorious aspects and from different people's point of view. And I enjoyed the beauty and humour of Frank Hurley's 'Adelie penguins after blizzard'. It was also illuminating reading other people's comments about the photos and then taking another look at the photo to explore it more fully e.g. re: Huskies pulling sledge - 'All of them have such characters in there faces'.
I also picked up some knowledge about the functions of flickr e.g. viewing photos as a slideshow.
